Where:   Lake Raystown  (Huntingdon, PA)
              U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
              Seven Points Campground (Meadow Loop)

When:    October 6-10, 2011 (Columbus Day Weekend)

Lake Raystown is Pennsylvania's largest lake entirely within its borders.  This 8,300 acre lake is 27 miles long, with 110 miles of
shoreline.  http://www.raystownlake.com/

Seven Points Campground (Meadow Loop) is located on the northwest side of the lake near Hesston, PA, which is approximately 10
miles from Huntingdon, PA.  The Meadow Loop has 50 Amp electric service, flush toilets, heated showers, drinking water access, a
playground, and level sites.

If you access the website you will see that there has been a change in their reservation policy:   " During the non peak seasons (1 April
through 25 May and 6 September through 30 October) all sites are not reservable and remain available on a first arrival basis."  That is
one reason why the Meadow Loop has been chosen for this campout as the sites are extra large and can accommodate two units.

In order to not make this a lengthy email, more details regarding this campout will be emailed to the Mid-East Chapter members and to
those who email me of their interest in this campout.  Anyone is welcome to attend this campout.  If you don't have a Scotty, come with
another camper or a tent.

Just to temp you, here are some things that are happening in the Lake Raystown area that weekend:

East Broad Top Railroad (narrow gauge steam) is having their Fall Spectacular that weekend.
Alexandria, PA, is having a craft festival (Harts Log Day) on Saturday, October 8.
Hesston Speedway has races scheduled for Saturday, October 8.
Seven Points Marina will be having 90-minute sightseeing cruises on the Lake Princess that weekend (should have wonderful fall foliage
surrounding the lake)

Other places of interest:  Miller's Diner, Isett Acres Museum,  Lincoln Caverns, One Thousand Steps, Swigart Auto Museum (come see a
Tucker!)

Come join the fun!
