                                Beverly Brands Favorite Hot Dog Sauce
WORKS GREAT IN DUTCH OVEN

Stadium Chili (Hot Dog Topping Chili)

Makes about 6 cups

3 Tablespoons olive oil
3 cups finely chopped yellow onions
5 garlic cloves, minced
2 pounds ground beef
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon dried oregano, crumbled
2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon ground tumeric
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoons dried red pepper
2 cups tomato juice
2 cups canned beef broth
¼ cup yellow cornmeal
Heat oil in heavy large Dutch oven over medium
heat.  Add onions and garlic and cook until
translucent, stirring occasionally, about 10
minutes. Add beef and cook until brown,
crumbling with fork, about 8 minutes.  Mix in chili
powder next 8 ingredients and stir 3 minutes.  
Add tomato juice and beef broth and bring to a
boil, stirring occasionally.  Reduce heat and
simmer until liquid is reduced by 1/3, about 1 ½
hours.  Add cornmeal and stir 2 minutes.  (Can
be refrigerated up to 3 days.  Re-warm over
medium low heat
