| And, here are some sites of interest in the area: 1. Flight 93 impact site/temporary memorial. Approximately 10 miles from campground. 2. Flight 93 Memorial Chapel. Approximately 13 miles from the campground and four miles from the temporary memorial. A non-denominational chapel to honor the "heroes" of Flight 93. http://www.flt93mem orialchapel. org/ 3. Quecreek Mine Rescue Site. In July of 2002 nine miners were trapped underground for 77 hours and finally pulled to safety in a rescue "capsule." All nine alive! You can see where the rescue hole was dug and see the original rescue capsule. Fallingwater- -the most famous Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home built over a waterfall. At least an hour's drive from campground. http://www.paconser ve.org/index- fw1.asp 5. Kentuck Knob--another Wright-designed home about six miles from Fallingwater. Built for the Hagan family now owned by Lord Palumbo, England. Johnstown Flood Museum tells the story of the Great Flood of 1889 when 2209 people died after a dam located 14 miles above the city broke. About 24 miles from the campground. http://www.jaha. org/FloodMuseum/ history.html 7. And, the Johnstown Flood Memorial run by the Park Service. Located north of Johnstown off of route 219 at St. Michael exit. View a 30-minute film depicting the tragedy.
